Virginia Commonwealth Games at Liberty University For more than 34 years the Games have been known as the Virginia’s Olympics. This statewide event is the largest multisport festival in Virginia with over 10,000 participants of all ages and abilities competing in over 35 sports. Conservation Canoe & Kayak Convoy
Calling all paddlers and conservationists! The Central Virginia Land Conservancy (CVALC) is organizing a convoy of canoeists and kayakers on May 23, 2024 at 9:00 am to celebrate the preservation of Bald Eagle Island in Amherst County. Concord-based nonprofit, Gleaning For the World will be hosting a public National Day of Prayer ceremony, which will be held inside of their large Volunteer Center, located at 7539 Stage Road in Concord.
